Welcome back to school! We had a great opening day. We hope that the excitement and enthusiasm our team feels for the coming year extended to all of you and your children. After weeks of summer preparation, it is always thrilling to see the halls warmed by our families’ presence.
This past Tuesday evening, the HSA sponsored a terrific New Family Welcome Reception. We have some wonderful new families that have joined our community so if you have not had the chance to meet them, I’d encourage you to reach out and extend a warm St. As welcome. Earlier that day, myself and the faculty attended our annual Bishop’s Convocation. We had an incredible guest speaker who had a tremendous impact on me.
I am always grateful to all of our parents for entrusting our entire staff with the spiritual and educational formation of your children. This is a significant responsibility that we all take very seriously. The speaker we heard on Tuesday also put a different spin on this by explaining that we, as Catholic school educators, receive a gift each day…..the gift of your children. It is a gift and a blessing to be able to teach and form your children every day, all day. I am humbled by this gift. As grateful people always do when a gift is received, we thank the giver. Please accept this note as my thank you for the gift you give us each day. We are truly blessed.
There is a lot to accomplish this year, but it feels as though our community is fired up with an energy that is contagious. I will pray each day for you and your children and ask that you do the same for me and our staff.
Welcome back - here’s to a great year!
