" The greatest gift you will ever receive will never be found under a Christmas tree. It is far too
valuable to be stored in any other place but in
the depths of your heart."

We hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our return to school brings a busy week! Thank you all for your patience today when we lost power. Dominion had informed me that it would be a minimum of four hours to restore! So, making lemonade out of lemons, we held the "turkey trot" this morning. (I know that several students had left before then, but they will have a chance to make it up.) This event is designed to raise money for PTO projects - and to get our heart beats healthy! On Thursday morning our 8 th graders will sit for the High School Placement Test, and that night they will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. We ask for blessings on all of those in our parish who will be confirmed.

Yesterday and today we welcomed Discovery Toys consultant, Mrs. Cindy Connors, to do a "toy-raise" for our school. Parents are able to get a jump on Christmas shopping.

We are also gearing up for the annual Three Kings shop. Thank you to all who contributed to this fun event. Our students certainly love to go shopping! We also anticipate the Memorial of Saint Ambrose. Our students will enjoy a day dedicated to our patron, and eat donuts as well (honey-dipped, of course).

Look under drive > classroom > grade to see if there's a draft. If not, please have your student create an article according to the guidelines ASAP!

Thank you!

Three Kings Gift Shop - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED NEXT WEEK!

The Three Kings Gift Shop will be open to students NEXT WEEK  and we need YOUR help! We have MANY volunteer opportunities over the course of the event from December 4-7 . Volunteer duties include shop setup, shopping consultants, cashiers, gift wrappers, and shop teardown.

This is a great opportunity to earn your volunteer credit hours and take part in a St. Ambrose tradition. Please sign up at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409044eada82eaafc1-three

We are still accepting donations to stock our store! We could use gifts that are in VERY GOOD condition for moms, dads, children, teenagers, and grandparents .  Things like jewelry, toys, games, stuffed animals, ties, gadgets, mugs, books, religious items, knick-knacks, and any item you might want to receive or give as a gift .  Remember, no large gifts as the children must be able to carry the items home. We also need gift wrapping supplies such as: gift boxes, jewelry boxes, tape, and sturdy shopping bags . All donated items can be dropped off at the school office by November 30.

Thank you for your support! For questions please contact Mary Helou at   [email protected] .
Coat Drive

We are wrapping up our annual Winter Wear Drive on November 30.  We have received many wonderful items including several new coats and other items - that is terrific!  The St. Ambrose community is again so generous and we thank you so much.  Keep the donations coming as there is still time to help our neighbors in need.  Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Giving!
Veteran's Day

For Veteran's Day, Lt Colonel Jeff McCormack game to talk to third and fifth grade about military service and why it's improtant to thank veterans. Students asked questions and got to try on his equipment.

I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving! Make sure you turn in your submissions! Submissions are due by Mondays by 5pm. I accept submissions from teachers, staff, and parents. If you know of something interesting going on in our community, or want to give a shout out to someone at the school, I'd love to add it to the Buzz. I especially love pictures. Please contact Mrs. Rowley to make sure that we have permission to publish pictures of every student in the picture. Pictures need to be less than 5 MB. Thanks so much!
