" All go to one place; all are from the dust, and all turn to dust again."
February 27th, 2019
From Mrs. Rowley
This is the last Buzz before the gala! Last chance to get your tickets and join us for a fun-filled evening, New Orleans-style! "A Mardi Gras Knight" is going to be a great event, thanks to Sharon Driscoll and her team.

Congratulations to our 7th and 8tth graders on a very successful science fair. The judges were very impressed with the quality of the projects and the presentations by our students. We are very proud of them. Ten of our students will attend the diocesan science fair. Names of the winners will be in next week's Buzz.

Next week our 8th graders will attend the annual vocations Mass, which this year has evolved into " Go Forth: Called and Chosen." They will join with other 8 th graders in the diocese to attend Mass with Bishop Burbidge, and enjoy lunch together. On Thursday the will spend a day at Finance Park learning important life skills in terms of managing finances.
Please join us for Mass next Wednesday (not Thursday) for Ash Wednesday. Have a great week.

Letter from the Gala Chair
Well, this is it! The last few days before the gala are filled with frenetic activity as we make final preparations for our big event. Every detail is coming together and I believe this will be a fabulous evening for all. Come enjoy the New Orleans Jazz, Mardi Gras flare, exquisite food, enticing auction and raffle items, and best of all; a chance for fellowship with our school and parish community!

I hope you will join us!

God Bless,
Sharon Driscoll

Tickets are still available online, through the school office, or at the door. See the ticket sales flyer for details.

We are still in need of some desserts for our auction; please consider donating a sweet or two. Please send in the attached form to the school office. Please note: If you signed up to bring a dessert, the school will be open to accept them starting at 4:00pm on Saturday, up until the start of the event.

50/50 Raffle
The "pot" is now over $1200! Get in on the action and buy your tickets today! Tickets will also be sold at the gala. Contact Jen Charest if you need more tickets to sell. The student who sells the most raffle tickets will earn a seriously awesome prize!

Thank you to all who have signed up to help out! We can still use help with a few shifts at the bar and food tables, and we need many more hands for clean up when the event closes and the day after. Please sign up here: Thank you for your support!
Fun Times in Kindergarten
Here are a few pictures from Kindergarten. They had a very sweet day, celebrated 100 days of school, and even did a blubber experiment.

From the Editor

Please make sure to read the Buzz every week. There's a lot of great things in it. Also, turn in your submissions! Submissions are due by Mondays by 5pm. I accept submissions from teachers, staff, and parents. If you know of something interesting going on in our community, or want to give a shout out to someone at the school, I'd love to add it to the Buzz. I especially love pictures. Please contact Mrs. Rowley to make sure that we have permission to publish pictures of every student in the picture. Pictures need to be less than 5 MB. Thanks so much!
