The end of the school year is fast approaching, and with it comes several events! Next Monday we are excited to welcome Fr. Jim Hinkle home! We have been following his travels aboard the USS Stennis, and on Monday morning he will visit us to talk about his experiences. He will also take another batch of cards which our students have made for the sailors aboard the Stennis. Friday, May 24 is field day. We are still in need of volunteers. If you have not fulfilled your 15 hour commitment, this would be a great day to help out. Please note that volunteers must be VIRTUS compliant. Pizza Day and Super Day are coming up. More information will follow.
We have so much talent in our school. Congratulations to 7
th
grader, Emily Hollcraft, for winning first place in the local division of the Catholic Daughters of America poetry contest. Not only that, Emily came in second state-wide! We are so proud! You can read her poem below.
Please keep our students in your prayers as they continue with their online testing this week.
Trying To Do Good Like I Should
By Emily Hollcraft
I always try my best throughout the day
To do good in every way.
It's not easy at the start but I try to use all my heart.
Like helping my mom, being kind to others,
Loving all my sisters and brothers.
With the help of God's power and trying my best every hour
To make a difference, it's never too late,
I can make the world a little more great!
