We were blessed on Monday to welcome Fr. Jim Hinkle back to dry land! We have been following the travels of the USS Stennis, and Fr. Hinkle shared with us some of his experiences on board. We sent him back with "welcome home" cards for the sailors. Please see some pictures below.

As we near the end of the school year we celebrate many achievements. Thursday we will say "au revoir" to our preschoolers. We wish them a very happy summer,

Next Tuesday is Pizza Day for all of our students, thanks to the generosity of some of our parents who purchased this as an auction item at the Gala. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Next Thursday we will have our Spring concert, beginning at 6:30 pm and Super Day for grades 3, 4 and 8 on Friday! On Friday we will also welcome Sasha Young, a former pilot who served aboard the USS Stennis! She engaged the students with her experiences, and answered some great questions.

Our last day of school will be June 12. School office hours in July will be 9:00 am-1:00 pm.

Scholastic Summer Reading BOGO Book Fair

Join us for our annual Scholastic Summer Reading BOGO Book Fair.

The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, May 30 Students will visit the fair during the school day to make wish lists.

After school - open for sales from 3:10 - 6:00pm

Friday, May 31 Open for sales 8:15 - 1:30. The fair will be packed up at 1:30.

In Need of New Buzz Editor

We are looking for someone to take over the position of the Buzz Editor for the 2019-2020 school year. It is a fun way to help out the school, all from the comfort of your own house. Being the Buzz Editor also gives you all the volunteer hours you need for the school year. If you are interested in filling this position, please contact Mrs. Rowley at [email protected].

Please make sure to read the Buzz every week. There's a lot of great things in it. Also, turn in your submissions! Submissions are due by Mondays by 5pm. I accept submissions from teachers, staff, and parents. If you know of something interesting going on in our community, or want to give a shout out to someone at the school, I'd love to add it to the Buzz. I especially love pictures. Please contact Mrs. Rowley to make sure that we have permission to publish pictures of every student in the picture. Pictures need to be less than 5 MB. Thanks so much!
