From Mrs. Rowley
Welcome back to all of our students and staff. We are excited to get another school year under way. In this, the year of our reaccreditation we are especially excited to take a close look at all the good things St. Ambrose School does and to celebrate the very special spirit that abounds! Please pray for a successful year.
A couple of carpool reminders: when dropping off your students in the morning please form a double line in front of the church to feed into a single line in front of the school. Please pull up as far as you can to drop your students off. All students should leave their cars on the school side for safety. Cars must wait until the line of traffic is moving: pulling out of the carline around other cars is not permitted.
Please know that my door is always open to you. Thank you for your ongoing support and for entrusting us with your children.
Prayer for Students Lord our God, in your wisdom and love you surround us with the mysteries of the universe. Send your spirit upon these students and fill them with your wisdom and blessings. Grant that they may devote themselves to their studies and draw ever closer to you, the source of all knowledge. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

From the Editor
I am so excited to be continuing on as the Buzz Editor! Please make sure that you read the Buzz every week. There is a lot of important information about what is going on in our school. There are often pictures of our
students and great activities. I would love to receive submissions from YOU. Please let me know if something interesting is going on in our community, have updates for a club, or want to give a shout out to someone at the school, I especially enjoy pictures. Please contact
Mrs. Rowley to make sure we have permission to publish pictures of the students. The pictures need to be
less than 5 MB. Submissions are due by
Mondays at 5pm. Please contact me if you have any questions. If you know any parents at the school who did not receive this week's Buzz, please have them contact me so I can put them on the distribution list. I look forward to hearing from you!

THANK YOU
We're excited to announce that all Homeroom Parent positions for K-8 are FILLED! A great big thank you to all of the wonderful moms who have taken on this important role. We would like to invite our preschool parents to contact us to serve as homeroom parents for Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4.
CALLING ALL PARENTS
We have many more opportunities for you to invest in our wonderful school and make a difference in the lives of our students.

Dress Down Day for $1
This Friday will be a dress down day to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Students may wear yellow (for Texas). Minimum donation is $1, but we will take whatever you wish to offer. If you wish to have your child participate, please send the money in some time this week.

The Used Uniform Sale was a great success. We made over $1400 for the PTO thanks to the generosity of parents who donated uniforms to the sale. The money will be used towards field trips, assemblies, and additional STEM opportunities. A great big thank you to all of the volunteers and school staff that helped with set up and the sale: Mrs. Rowley, Mrs. Smith, Kati Krueger, Sarah Salazar, Luisa Williams and Julia Hecton. The success of the sale could not have happened without you.
