Grade: 3

Church you attend? St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church

Educational background: Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Studies from Ashford University in San Diego, CA.

Background: I am 45 years old. I was born and raised in Scranton, PA. My wife and I moved to Florida in August of 2001.

Family: I have been married to my wife Kimberly for 21 years, we have two sons Gerard III is 19 and a sophomore at Valencia College in Orlando. Our youngest son William is 16 years old and is a sophomore at Lincoln Park Academy. We have two pets, our cat Vader, and our dog Bella.

Favorite Saint: My favorite Saint is Saint Jude. The reason I love Saint Jude is because he is the patron saint of hope and impossible causes. Any time I have an issue I can pray to Saint Jude for hope and help.

Did you attend St. Anastasia School and/or JCHS? I did not. I grew up in Scranton, PA and attended Charles Sumner Elementary School, West Scranton Intermediate School, and West Scranton High School.
Fun Fact: I love to spend time with my family and friends. I like to get out on the golf course for a round of golf as often as I can. I also umpire baseball games. I umpire high school, college, and even the occasional minor league game. Baseball is by far my favorite sport and, since I can no longer play, umpiring keeps me involved in the sport.

What is your favorite quote or bible verse? My favorite bible verse is John 3:16 - "God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life."

How do you incorporate our theme “United in Jesus” in your classroom? In our classroom we incorporate the United in Jesus theme by including Jesus’s name in teachings into every subject as often as we can. We pray daily a few times and talk of Jesus very often.

P.S. – I have the best teaching assistant on the planet Mrs. Amy McKee. She daily goes above and beyond the call of duty to assist me in every way. She also makes sure the students always have everything they need to be successful.
