Stewards of Eden: What Scripture Says about the Environment and Why It Matters

Sundays now through April 6, 2025

10:15 - 11:00 am

Celebration Center, Rm C111

Leaders: Rev. Wayne Dickert, Julie & Dave DesJardins, Steve Borgianini

$15 book cost

Sandra L. Richter, an expert in ancient Israelite society and economy as well as biblical theology, walks readers through passages familiar and not-so-familiar, showing how significant environmental theology is to the Bible's witness. She then calls Christians to apply that message to today's environmental concerns.

Each chapter draws out a biblical mandate about humanity's responsibility to care for the land, domestic and wild creatures, and people on the margins. Well informed on present-day environmental challenges, the author includes case studies that connect the biblical mandates to current issues.

ST. ANDREW

GREEN TEAM

Sunday, February 23

Following 11:09 worship

Admin. Bldg. Conf. Room

Are we leaving our world a better place for our children, grandchildren, and others that follow us? Is there more that we can do as individuals and a faith community to care for our world? Our new Green Team will look for ways to respond to these questions. Our Green Gathering is planned for Sunday, February 23 following the 11:09 worship service in the Conference Room.

We are all aware of recent and on-going environmental concerns, but perhaps we can do more to care for God's creation. We hope that you can attend and bring your ideas along. Please call or email the church office to let us know of your interest.
