Art in the Garden: After learning a little about some fish that are native to SW Florida, our Second, Third, and Fourth grade students have created individual "artistic fish." These fish are now being combined for a sculpture for the Edison and Ford "Art in the Garden." "Art in the Garden" is a sculpture garden that will be on display at the Edison Estates from April 27th through May 23rd. All are invited to visit and enjoy the exhibit sometime during the month of May.
Last week the 2nd Grade and Evironmental Preservation Club went on a field trip to ECHO Global Farms where they learned about efforts to curb world hunger by providing education and materials to those in need. The field trip included a tour of the farm which is designed to duplicate growing conditions in varying climatic regions of our world. What a great integration of lessons in social justice and science!
