This week in our Lenten Speaker Series...

John Maxwell, local actor and playwright

John Maxwell is from Pickens. He is an actor and writer, known for Oh, Mr. Faulkner, Do You Write? (2006), The Rising Place (2001) and Texas Red (2021).


John will perform a monologue from his piece Gethsemane, as well as a talk on the importance of art in a community.

Prom Committee

As we gear up for our second annual Senior Prom—a special party for folks over 50—we’re seeking new members for our “Prom Committee.” Have some ideas or planning skills to contribute?

PARISH NEWS

Parish Picnic

Sunday, April 27th, 10:30am

This year’s Parish Picnic will again be held at St. Andrew’s Upper School campus. We’ll have an outdoor service at 10:30am (there will still be a regular 8:30 service in the Cathedral Chapel that morning). The picnic will feature live music, snow cones, and activities for children. Lunch is $10/adult, $5/child, with a $25 max per family. Bring a dessert to share and a chair or blanket to sit on.

MCO Concert

The Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra performs select pieces from Gilbert & Sullivan, Broughton, Dvorak, and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Featuring tuba solist Wade Rackley and guest concertmaster Ms. Tyler Dennis.

Servant Sunday

Sunday, May 4th

On this special Sunday we will honor the work of Cathedral volunteers during the 10:30am service. Following the service, a celebratory lunch and some refresher courses for our Sunday volunteers.
