PARISH NEWS

Troop 1 Has Wreaths!

Troop 1 (chartered by St. Andrew’s and St. James) has beautiful, fresh surplus wreaths for sale. We will be at the Scout Hut on the Hawthorne side of St. James this Sunday (12/4) at 200 when/where you can pick you orders.  We recommend you email me directly at steve@hayesdent.com to reserve your wreath prior to Sunday. We anticipate selling out very soon and Sunday will simply be an opportunity for those who have already reserved wreaths to pick-up their items.

They have:

  •  2 28” mixed evergreen wreaths ($49 per)
  •  8 22” mixed evergreen wreaths ($34 per)
  •  8 22” noble fir wreaths ($34 per)

Angel Tree

We have fifty children on our Angel Tree this year. Please consider adopting one of them, or donating to our Angel Tree fund and one of our shopping elves will shop for you. All instructions, along with the date of return, can be found on the Angel Tree Ornaments.

Clarence Tree

The Clarence Tree is another way you can give back this Advent Season. Each ornament has the name of one home-bound parishioner who would benefit from a call, card, or visit during this season. The Clarence Tree can be found in the Rotunda, along with all information.

Greening of the Cathedral

Sunday, December 18, after the 10:30 service

It’s that time of year again! Come join in the fun and lend a hand as we decorate our Cathedral for Christmas. Lunch for volunteers will follow - please contact Ed Oliver (edoliverms@gmail.com or 601-832-1211) if you’d like to take part.

Vestry Nominations

Vestry elections are just around the cornerβ€”we have openings for four new vestry members and a Junior Warden so we are looking for passionate parishioners who are committed to leadership and are members in good standing to stand for elections. To submit a nomination, please call the Cathedral office at 601.354.1535 to request a form or download one at standrews.ms/vestrynominations.
