We have received reports of parishioners receiving scam emails purporting to be from Dean Maxwell requesting gift cards or money.

Please know that neither Dean Maxwell nor any Cathedral clergy, staff, or vestry member will ever contact you ask you for money, gift cards, or any other item of value directly via email or text.

Always check the email address of the message's sender to verify if it is legitimate. If you are ever unsure, please call the Cathedral at 601-354-1535 to confirm.

Food Pantry Sunday

Bring your non-perishable food items to be donated to the Stewpot Food Pantry. Bags may be left in the front of the Nave, pulpit side.

Independence Day Popsicle Reception

Join us between our morning worship services to beat the heat and celebrate Independence Day with a popsicle!

Note that our summer formation classes will be on break July 5th for this intergenerational gathering. Nursery and Playroom will still be available.

Memory, Democracy, & The Unfinished American Project

Sunday, July 5 at 5pm

Marking the anniversary of Frederick Douglass' 1852 speech "What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?", this timely conversation will explore memory, democracy, and the work that remains. Featuring keynote speaker Imani Perry- historian, author, and Princeton professor.

All are welcome! Bring your own meat for the grill, a beverage, and $15 to pay for sides, which are provided.

Stewpot Pantry Volunteer Week

July 20 - 24

It’s St. Andrew’s turn to volunteer as Shopping Assistants! Volunteers assist shoppers collect the pantry items they need during their visit. Stewpot staff are present to train new volunteers, so you will have guidance as you serve.

Join us at Fertile Ground for a casual evening of fellowship! Children are welcome to attend with a supervising adult, and dogs are allowed outside if leashed.

COLLAB: Art Reception

Thursday, July 30 at 6pm

COLLAB is a new series at the Cathedral created in partnership with the artists of our parish. We believe creativity is a gift meant to be shared, and our community is rich with individuals whose God-given talents we wish to celebrate.

Each season, we will feature a new artist, with works displayed in the Parish Hall and around our building. Every installation will begin with an Opening Reception in collaboration with the artist. Artwork will be available for purchase with a portion of proceeds donated to the Cathedral.

Our first installation will feature Susannah Morse Mylroie, beginning July 30.

Annually we partner with other Central Convocation parishes to host a drawdown supporting Habitat for Humanity. As we prepare for the August 14th event, we are looking for volunteers to help with food, decor, and the silent auction.
