EYC Lock-In

Saturday & Sunday, October 15 - 16

The EYC will be gathering for a lock-in on Saturday, October 15. Dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning will be provided, and we’ll have a long evening of games and hangout time. After breakfast Sunday, we will go to Stewpot to serve lunch before calling it a weekend. Open to all youth 6th - 12th grade.

General Convention Delegates Report

Delegates to this year’s General Convention will share their experiences, report on their areas of attention, and take questions. All are welcome to join in person or online at standrews.ms/general-convention.

Lay Pastoral Care

Last Sunday, we commissioned as Lay Pastoral Ministers: Thorne Butler, Judith Forshee, Deb Lightsey, Mike Lightsey, Ed Oliver, Virginia Powell, Holli Roach, Jimmy Rosen, and Sallye Wilcox. The team will coordinate pastoral care with the clergy. Each week two ministers will be listed in the Epistle as the “LPMs on call.” As always, you are welcome to call clergy or you may call on an LPM. The Dean will assign tasks each week and care will be documented in a confidential app we have especially for this ministry. This will not replace the wonderful ministries that we already have but will coordinate and expand our capability to care for one another.

Supper Club

Groups will meet monthly to share a meal and socialize! Anyone can join—the registration deadline is Wednesday, October 5th. We’ll have a kickoff dinner for all where groups will be revealed on Sunday, October 16th at 6pm To register, vist standrews.ms/supperclub.
