This Advent we invite you to LIVE IN FAITH EVERYDAY (LIFE)!
For Christians, Advent marks a special stillness and darkness as we prepare for the joy-filled story of Christmas. It’s tempting to skip the darkness and yet, we are reminded in our Advent readings of this important time in our calendar year. It is a delicate balance of remembrance and anticipation.
We have seen many photos of people putting up their Christmas trees earlier than ever before, anxious to usher in the hope and joy-filled season. We, too, sit in anticipation of this and decided in this unprecedented year to put up a Christmas Tree outside for the world to see.
While it’s been something we’ve talked about before, this year, when many will not be able to safely enter our Sanctuary at Christmas, we selected an outdoor tree to symbolize not only that there is Light in the midst of darkness, but there is eternal hope that happens here. It is a hope not just for us to know, but for us to share, so that the whole world may truly know the healing power of Christ’s love.
Our hope for you is that you share this news with all you love and invite them to be a part of worship, any way you can. Please join with us this advent season as we pause in the darkness and then join us for Christmas where we celebrate where hope abides.
P.S. We miss seeing your faces! If you are into social media or in need of getting out for a drive, we encourage you to drive by the church and see this beautiful tree, a labor of love from your St. Andrew’s family to you. A reminder of the comfort + joy we have in Christ Jesus. Tag @saintandrewsmn in your Christmas Tree photo #comfort+joy
