March Youth Ministry Newsletter—

A Season of Growth & Renewal

Dear Youth & Families,

As we step into March, we embrace the season of Lent—a time of reflection, renewal, and growth. Just as spring brings new life, this season invites us to deepen our faith, strengthen our community, and walk closer with God.

This month, we have exciting opportunities to connect, serve, and grow together. From our Lenten small groups to service projects and fun fellowship events, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to check out all the upcoming activities, and don’t miss your chance to get involved!

Let’s journey through this season together, supporting and uplifting one another in faith. We can’t wait to see you at our next gathering!

Winter Park Ski Trip Recap

Our Youth Ski Trip to Winter Park (Feb 13-17) was an unforgettable adventure! From early morning slopes to late-night bonding, our group made the most of every moment.

Highlights of the Trip:

Skiing & Snowboarding – Whether it was a first-time experience or a seasoned pro hitting the slopes, everyone challenged themselves and had a blast!

Evening Devotions – We gathered each night to reflect on faith, friendship, and the beauty of God’s creation in the mountains.

Nights at the Rec – Many youth members participated in a friendly game of basketball and fun activities at the rec.

Community Meals – Huge thanks to our amazing volunteers who helped prepare and serve meals!

Bus Shenanigans – The long rides were filled with games, laughter, and, of course, lots of snacks.

A special shoutout to our trip leaders: Keith Henson (Lead Volunteer), Latoya Goree (Food Coordinator), and our amazing chaperones for making this trip happen!

Thank you to everyone who participated, fundraised, and supported this adventure. We can’t wait for next year’s ski trip! 🎿✨

Did You Know?

The word "Lent" comes from an Old English word meaning "spring". Just like how spring is a season of renewal, Lent is a time for spiritual renewal—where we focus on growing closer to God through prayer, reflection, and sometimes even giving up something to help us grow stronger in our faith!
