NEW STUDENT EDITION

Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,

We are thrilled to congratulate our newly accepted students and welcome your families to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School. We know there are many pieces of information to manage when joining a new school community. This electronic newsletter will help facilitate your family’s smooth transition to St. Anthony of Padua.

Within this newsletter you will find information needed to prepare for the upcoming academic year. Please complete any forms or information appropriate for your child.

Our school’s newsletter, "The Messenger" is delivered each Friday starting in August and you can view past issues on our website at: https://ap.school/the-messenger-school-newsletter. We will also send out a summer update in July! Our school app is also a great resource! You can download it here and more features will be available once the school year begins.

We hope that you will continue to use our website (https://ap.school/) as a resource as we move towards the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year. FAMILY COMMITMENT/PADUAN POINTS REQUIREMENT

Family commitment is essential to our school’s success, therefore, parents are asked to acquire at least 20 family volunteer units called Paduan Points annually through volunteering and fundraising activities within our school. Each family will be billed $10 for each uncompleted Paduan Point (maximum of $200) in May 2025. A list of Paduan Points opportunities is available on our website at: https://ap.school/volunteer-opportunities. This will be updated at the beginning of the school year. Please feel free to email advancement@ap.school with any questions about Paduan Parents.

ROOM PARENTS & PADUAN PARENT LEADERSHIP

We encourage all parents and guardians to volunteer as a Room Parent or Paduan Parent Champions during the 2024-2025 school year. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to your child’s classroom, experience your child’s interactions with teachers and peers, and most of all, see the pride in your child’s face when you are there to share special times with their class. If you are interested in this fun and rewarding opportunity, please let us know at the volunteer interest form below. We will contact volunteers about assignments once the school year begins.

ROOM PARENT / VOLUNTEER INTEREST

SUPPORTING OUR MISSION

Over the past 23 years, investment from our supporters has made a tremendous impact on student achievement and success. Building a strong stewardship culture provides the school with a competitive advantage and translates into stronger programs, improved facilities and an overall better educational experience for our students. While tuition sustains our school, additional funding from advancement initiatives elevates us to greatness. Save the dates for our 2024-2025 events and programs dedicated to furthering our school's excellence!

FUND FOR ST. ANTHONY

We, like most private schools, rely on charitable giving to balance the budget. Your support of the Fund for St. Anthony allows us to provide enriching educational opportunities and top-notch facilities for your children. Dolphin Donor Weekin early November—is a fundraising event designed to encourage all alumni, faculty, parents, and friends to support the Fund for St. Anthony. Your gift, no matter the size, makes a huge impact on the lives of our students! NOTE: When we reach 90% family participation in the 2024-2025 Fund for St. Anthony an extra day off (March 17, 2025) will be added to the calendar!

STEPS FOR STUDENTS - February 8, 2025

Steps for Students is an annual Archdiocesan-wide event where all school and parish communities can come together as one to support Catholic education. The goal of Steps for Students is to raise awareness of the importance of a Catholic education and provide much needed resources for our Catholic schools. This day of family fun includes a 5K USA Track and Field Association sanctioned race and post-race party.

AUCTION GALA - March 1, 2025

Our annual auction gala is a fun evening for parents, friends and family of the St. Anthony of Padua community consisting of cocktails, dinner, dancing and silent and live auctions. Sign-up parties are fun ways that everyone can participate in the fun! Thank you to Andrea & Bobby Aertker for chairing our 24th gala! If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, gala donor, or party host, please reach out to advancement@ap.school.
