This Sunday's Guest Preacher:
The Rev. Ben Cooke, Pastor, Emmanuel Lutheran Episcopal Church, Augusta
The Reverend Ben Cooke is the Pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Episcopal Church in Augusta. He divides his time between his family, fixing his house (like most Mainers), playing with the dogs, and his work for the church. He has a great love for thin places, sacred art, and the poetry of the liturgy, but above all, being with the people of God as we gather to share Christ's love.

Christmas Fair Preparation: Belts Bags and Scarves
What began as a few scarves at the jewelry table, evolved first to a table of its own, and later to include bags, and then belts!
Kathleen Damon is chairing the effort this year, with the assistance of Hannah Ashley and Joanne Berg. They are looking for handbags, belts, and scarves that are in good condition. There is a bin in the narthex where you may leave your donation.
This is another area where friends and neighbors seem very happy to participate! We all have things in our closet that we just can’t bear to toss, but having a good recipient makes it a pleasure to make way for something new! Again, please, only items in good condition! Designer labels sell quickly, but our shoppers’ tastes are eclectic, so don’t rule out anything.

St. Bart's Sermons Are Now on YouTube!
Ever hear a sermon at St. Bart's that you wished you could share with a friend or family member? Now you can! We're now posting our weekly sermons on YouTube, making it easy to watch, revisit, and share individual sermons without sending an entire worship service.
As one of the world's largest search engines, YouTube also helps us reach people beyond our parish and introduce them to St. Bart's.
Whether you missed a Sunday, want to hear a message again, or know someone who might appreciate it, we hope you'll watch and share! We just started this, so this playlist will grow over time.

Building Community, Creating Change: November 15
Join us after worship on Sunday, November 15, for a conversation with Bayard “Bay” Love about an exciting opportunity to create meaningful change in our communities through broad-based community organizing.
Bay and several members of St. Bart's have been exploring an effort to bring Mainers together across organizations, backgrounds, and interests to build relationships, identify shared concerns, and work collectively to shape the future of their communities.
Bay is a Partner at the Groundwater Institute, where he works with leaders and organizations to create lasting institutional and systems change. He brings extensive experience in organizational strategy and community organizing.
Stay after the service to learn more about this effort and how St. Bart's might be part of it!
