Memorial Service for Jennifer Willard
A memorial service for Jennifer will be held at St. Bart's on Wednesday, September 9 at 2 pm. Members of St. Bart's are welcome to attend to celebrate Jennifer's life, to grieve, and to offer care and support for Jennifer's family members and friends. Jennifer's obituary can ve found here.

Lend a Hand in the Memorial Garden
In anticipation of services for our beloved Jennifer Willard, there will be an opportunity to work together to ensure that the Memorial Gardens and surroundings she so enjoyed are at their best.
We will gather at 9:00am on Tuesday, September 8th, ending at noon (likely before), to do any edging, weeding, deadheading and pruning which are appropriate. Bring water, gloves, knee padding, pruning, weeding and edging tools. We may divide and relocate some perennials as well.
Our predicted rainfall is still short of the 1” per week we need to keep the new and replanted shrubs and Amanda’s tree healthy. Please check in with Joyce Cassidy if you can assist. Watering before 10:00 am is best — a perfect opportunity to enjoy the cooler temperatures and peaceful surrounds for about 45 minutes!

St. Bart's (First!) Carbon Challenge

Get ready for St. Bart's First Carbon Challenge!
During the Season of Creation this fall, we're inviting each household to pick up a worksheet to attach to your fridge and try some simple activities to reduce our carbon footprint. Some examples are drying laundry outside on a sunny day and skipping the hair dryer for a month.
Our goal is 150 pounds of carbon emissions saved per household during the month of September; together we're aiming for 15,000 pounds. There are no costs involved. Remember, any effort, no matter how small, is important when we work together.
Let's Curb our Carbs!

A Home for Bugz
Following the recent death of parishioner Jennifer Willard, friends are seeking a loving home for her beloved Boston Terrier, Bugz.
Bugz is a wonderful companion with a delightful personality. Jennifer’s home will soon be sold, so there is an immediate need for either short-term foster care or a permanent “forever” home for him. At this time, a home without other dogs or cats would be the best fit.
If you or someone you know might be able to provide Bugz with a temporary or permanent home, please contact Nina Scribner or the parish office for more information. Please also feel free to share this need with friends who may be interested.
Thank you for helping us find a safe and loving next chapter for Bugz.
