For those who have died, especially Elaine Elliott, beloved wife of David, receive them into the arms of your mercy.

Taking extra precautions with heightened levels

of flu and COVID cases

The town of Yarmouth is reporting significant levels of COVID and InfluenzaA cases based on wastewater testing. Click here https://www.bewellyarmouth.org/news/yarmouth-maine-wastewater-testing-for-covid-influenza-and-rsv-january-1-2026 to view their current report.

The Vestry encourages all parishioners to be vigilant and cognizant of the health concerns of our vulnerable neighbors. If you have any symptoms, please wear a mask, and if you are not feeling well, please consider watching the livestream from home. There are masks available in the Narthex (entryway).

As an added precaution, we are encouraging parishioners to share the peace with waves, elbow bumps, or other gestures that do not risk the transmission of any illness. Please be mindful of each person's choices during this season.

We appreciate your taking care of yourself and your fellow parishioners.

New Year, New Book of 2 Months Club!

Join us in January and February as we read "White Too Long: The Legacy of White Supremacy in America Christianity" by Robert P. Jones. Drawing on history, public opinion surveys, and personal experience, "White Too Long" presents a provocative examination of the unholy relationship between American Christianity and white supremacy, and issues an urgent call for white Christians to reckon with this legacy for the sake of themselves and the nation.

Join Rev. Amanda to discuss this book Tuesday, January 13th and Tuesday, February 10th at 6:30 pm via Zoom.

Please RSVP to Rev. Amanda so that she can send you the Zoom link.

Member Page & Member Directory

The Member Page of the St. Bart's website is back up again. This page includes the directory, forms, previous Meet Our Members emails, etc. Please contact the office for the new password. (Password had to be changed due to scammers trying to get access to the directory.)

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER:

We (Amanda/Christina/the office/the Vestry) will never email you to ask for passwords or to ask for money, gift cards, etc. Please do not respond to any requests like this. If you feel like the email may be legitimate, please contact the office.

Keeping people warm is essential

at St. Elizabeth’s Essentials Pantry!

St. Elizabeth’s was ready for the winter weather that arrived this fall. Along with the toilet paper, soup, etc. that are handed out each week, on November 11th, 245 visitors left with warm coats. Then on December 9th, 215 visitors were fitted with winter boots. And finally, on December 16th another 208 coats were given out. To top it off, hats, gloves, scarves and mittens were given out two days before Christmas. A few more boots and coats were given out that day, as well, and will be each week as needed.

Many thanks for the wonderful donations of coats, boots, socks, hats, gloves, and scarves that have been donated or purchased with donated funds.

The Vestry Minute

The E-News will now include a brief nugget of information from the Vestry each week. These are meant to provide current news or to refresh past information.

Did you know...

...that Susie Peixotto is our new co-chair of the Pastoral Care Team, joining Barbara Barhydt as the other co-Chair? Susie is taking over for Imelda Schaefer who retired from being co-chair after 25 years! We are so grateful for Imelda’s long tenure as well as for Barbara and Susie.
