A Season of Stewardship
It is not too late to plant!

“I planted, Apollos watered, and God gave the growth.” (I Corinthians 6:3). Even though St. Benedict’s stewardship season is coming to an end, God’s abundant love for us never ends. He is always our faithful steward. If you haven’t had an opportunity to make your pledge for the coming year, it is not too late. God’s word tells us that as we plant and water, he will give growth to St. Benedict’s. To make your pledge please use the button below.

Angel Tree 2021
Thank you St. Benedicts!
|
|
All of the children on our virtual Angel Tree have been adopted! We are providing gifts for almost 90 children this year. Please bring the items you purchased to St. Jude's, 220 Windy Hill Rd, Marietta, GA on Saturday, December 18 from
9 am-12 pm. There is no need to wrap but if your items will fit in a gift bag, that would help.
Please include a note for us with the Angel Tree number and the name of the child so we can easily sort the gifts as they arrive.
We can still use a few elves on Saturday to sort and distribute the gifts. If you are able to help, below is a link to sign up.

For a donation of $25 you can offer a poinsettia in memory of or thanksgiving for a loved one.

Please join us this holiday season in celebrating the life of Julia Smith by doing an act of kindness in her memory. Julia loved to help others, and we could think of no better way to honor her than by passing kindness along.
Once you've joined in Joy for Julia, we invite you to send a card sharing your act of kindness with Julia's parents:

Women's Bible Study
All are welcome.
|
|
The Women's Bible Study is now considering events of the church's liturgical calendar year. As part of this study, we will be reading and discussing pertinent Biblical references, as well as related sermons from Barbara Brown Taylor's Home by Another Way. When there is a break between such events, we expect to study together some of the shorter epistles of the New Testament. Join us at the link below.

St. B's needs lectors (readers) and intercessors (lead the prayers of the people) on Sunday mornings. It's so important that the assembly hears God's word read by people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, voices... reflecting the diversity of the body of Christ. This is a great ministry for folks looking to get more involved! Email Saralee Parker with any questions.

Now that we are back in church for services please start wearing you name tag. If you don't have a name tag please contact Monty at monty@mysaintb.org to request a new one. Wearing name tags really is a help for Mo. Jenna and for each of us as we welcome new parishioners and visitors and maybe refresh our memories on old friends.

Be a part of making the nave beautiful for online worship. The Flower Guild is looking for volunteers to help with arranging flowers for the nave every week. If interested, contact Beth Tyler.

St. Benedict's is committed to the various care needs of its member families. A dedicated group of volunteers are continuing to offer their time to serve our church community within various pastoral care capacities, including prayer requests, transportation, meal delivery, Eucharistic visits with Diocesan-approved safe protocols, and more. Mo. Jenna is also readily available for prayers, calls and/or visits for those in need.
Do not hesitate to reach out to Kerry Thomas or Anna Best about Pastoral care needs for yourself, your family, or your friends. We are here to help and serve!
