Weekly e-Nouncements
Important Information on
Upcoming Snow Storm this Weekend!
There is a Winter Storm expected this weekend, starting Saturday evening/night and going into Sunday morning!

A phone tree has been set up to notify St. Bernard's parishioners if Sunday's service has to be canceled.  An email will also be sent.
Expect calls from our Wardens and Vestry members around 8:30-9:00 am in the morning.

So please stay tuned to your email and phones for notification regarding this Sunday's service.

Even if the service is not canceled, if conditions are bad in your area then please don't risk coming to church!

Thank you and stay warm and safe!
JOY! Service
This Sunday!
January, 20 at  9 am

Families with young children (infants and up) are welcome to join us for our monthly JOY! service, on the 3rd Sunday of the month at  9 am.

Our next service will be on February 17,
at 9 am

This 25 minute service welcomes children into our liturgical tradition in informal, participatory, and fun ways. Please contact Pastor Beth with questions or to help.    And spread the word - all are welcome!
Be Encouraged
and Be a Good Encourager

Continues on January 27,
4-5:15 pm

A four-session training series for teenagers and parents seeking to encourage friends and each other will be held on Sundays beginning Jan. 13 at St. Bernard's Episcopal Church.

The series will be led by the Rev. Beth Rauen Sciaino, Priest-in-Charge at St. Bernard's, and is scheduled for Jan. 13 and 27, and Feb. 10 and 24, from 4-5:15 p.m. in the new Parish Hall adjoining the Church. This is an interfaith opportunity and all are welcome to participate.

The sessions are intended to provide listening techniques for young people and parents. For teens, the goal is "to become equipped to walk alongside a peer and encourage him or her through supportive listening that allows the friend to identify action steps." In addition, each session will include a guided exercise related to self-compassion, compassion for others, anxiety, or focus, offering life-giving responses for daily life.

Spread the word! Questions? Contact Pastor Beth: or 908-766-0602.
