Insider Alert - February 16, 2021
School Cancelled Through Thursday, February 18th

What a year this continues to be! In anticipation of the cold weather and dangerous road conditions we sent students and teachers home on Friday prepared for remote learning on Tuesday. We did not anticipate, however, the widespread energy crisis and power outages we are currently experiencing. While some homes are coming back online, we still have numerous St. Cecilia teachers and families without power, as well as St. Cecilia church and school. Furthermore, from what we can gather, rolling outages are likely to continue through Wednesday and into Thursday - unfortunately, making even remote learning impossible to sustain.

Therefore, due to the continued widespread power outages, hazardous road conditions, and the potential for additional inclement weather, we are making the decision to cancel all learning - in-person and remote - through Wednesday and Thursday. A decision regarding Friday, Feb. 19 will be communicated no later than Thursday afternoon.

The most important thing at this time is the health and safety of our community. Please stay safe, be careful, and focus on your families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
