Our annual weekly service opportunity begins on Sunday afternoon with the Crestwood Second Pack Up Day. The last of the food donated for Crestwood Elementary School's food backpacks will be packed this Sunday after the 10 am service and delivered next week. If you have food, please bring it. We still need many lunches/dinners. We delivered 107 two-day packs before Christmas which were greatly appreciated. The staff said, "This is the kind of packaging we need." Many thanks for all the funds, food donated and help packing from St. Christopher's Outreach Committee Chair, Richard Sellers.
Other Agents of ministry (i.e. parishioners living out their call to serve Christ in others) are still needed for our Hypothermia Prevention Program. We continue feeding our guests each evening, which are numbering less than 15-22. We expect the numbers to increase with colder weather later this week. We do need donated desserts: brownies, cookies, pies, cakes. Bring them anytime before Saturday evening--our last dinner meal.
See the announcement in the attached bulletin, and know that you are invited to come and be the hands and feet of Christ for others. Worship is always a wonderful way to begin any week, let alone a ministry filled one. Attached is our ... Bulletin Blast.
