The intention of this ordinance is not to impact individual rights. It is a safety measure to protect all of us if our voluntary efforts fail to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and loss of life.
Public Health has the duty to protect the health and wellbeing of everyone in St. Croix County using the least restrictive means necessary. In extreme circumstances, some constitutional rights may be limited as long as there is a strong enough reason to do so and so long as the measures are implemented in the least restrictive manner possible. ..."

September 16, St. Croix County Health and Human Services Committee Meeting, Agenda Not Yet Posted. At this HHS Committee meeting, the HHS Subcommittee will be providing their Public Health Officer Ordinance and "Education Plan"for approval or disapproval for the HHS Committee. If the HHS Committee either tables or withdraws the proposed Public Health Officer Ordinance and "Education Plan", it will not go to the full St. Croix County Board October 6, 5:00 p.m. If the HHS Committee DOES approve one of the draft ordinances, it WILL go the full St. Croix County Board of Supervisors meeting October 6, 5:00 p.m. This is the link to the meeting portal: , http://stcroixcountywi.iqm2.com/Citizens/Calendar.aspx?View=Calendar
