We have had a busy fall with much on the go. As the  parent council is all volunteer work, we sometimes have  a difficult time finding help on short notice. To tackle  this issue, we would like to have a roster of volunteers. If  you are interested in volunteering with any of our  initiatives, please send us your name and phone number  and we will gladly add you to the list.

Advent Mass

The Advent season is upon us and what could be better than spending time with your fellow St. Cyril community at the annual CSPC Advent Mass. Please join us on  December 10th at 6:30p.m. at St. Edward the Confessor church for a community mass followed by coffee and light refreshments. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to come out with your family and celebrate our faith through song and prayer. If your child would like to be involved in the mass (reading, bringing of the gifts, etc.), please reach out to cspc.stcyril@tcdsb.org.

Spirit Wear 

Spirit wear is available to purchase once again this year! With a greater selection of hoodies and t-shirts (2 different styles for each) it's a perfect time to expand your collection or replace any outgrown items. All items are uniform approved, so don't delay! Items are for sale until December 6th. Payment can be made via Cash Online. You can view images of the items along with sizing details on the CSPC website .  This is the perfect time to rock your St. Cyril spirit and support our school.

Meetings

Our meetings are held in the library usually on the 1st Tuesday of each month. We've had great attendance the recently, but we know that sometimes finding childcare can be difficult.  We can arrange childcare on an as needed basis so please let us know if you require childcare.


Calling All Volunteers


Volunteers are an essential part of helping our school activities run smoothly and effectively. If you would like to be a volunteer, please fill out the Survey Monkey email that was sent out (or use this link). We are always looking for volunteers and are so grateful to the many people in our community who give their time to help make our school so great! Thank you in advance!

Kids School Lunch

A healthy selection of food is offered every Monday by our school lunch provider Rose Reisman. Choose from hot and cold items and have your child take part in ordering. You can order weeks at a time or submit an order on Thursdays for the following Monday.  www.kidslunch.ca. St Cyril's password: SC97

Pro-grants 

In the past years the parent council of St Cyril have applied to the "parents reaching out grant" from the Ontario ministry of education to bring parent workshops to our school on topics such as anxiety, bullying and resiliency . In October the Ontario government announced that this grant will no longer be available to CSPCs. We would still however like to hold parent workshops as it is a great benefit to the parent community.  Are there topics you are interested in hearing about? Let us know. 

Remembrance Day

We were fortunate to have a visit from corporal Mena during our assembly who is a parent of our community. He so generously spent his day participating in the assembly and then all afternoon doing workshops for all classes.  Thank you Corporal Mena for the very interactive presentations. 

As we head into the advent season we would like to wish all the st. Cyril families a blessed Christmas Season. We hope to see you all at our community mass. 

$$ FINANCE UPDATE $$

During the past month, your donation dollars contributed to the St. Cyril community by providing financial support for the swim team. Also, CSPC funds raised from pizza lunches have been used for classroom support, to assist teachers in supplementing their classroom curriculum.
