Dear St. David Families, 


It’s hard to believe we are already in the middle of September! The school year is moving quickly and it has been wonderful to see our students settling into their classrooms, making new friends, and getting into the routines of the school year.


By this time of September, the excitement of the first few weeks has started to settle and we are really beginning to see the heart of our St. David community. Our students are learning, growing, and discovering what it means to be part of a school family. Thank you to our parents for helping make the transition back to school a successful one.


As we move through the month, I encourage everyone to continue focusing on the little things that make a big difference, being kind to one another, showing respect, coming to school ready to learn, and doing our best each day. These simple actions help us live out our Catholic faith and make St. David a special place to be.

Thank you for your continued support of our teachers, staff, and students. We are blessed to have such a wonderful community of families, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together this year.

OFFICE HOURS


The St. David of Wales main office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.
 
 

Volunteer Opportunities:


We have a few jobs around campus that need to fixing and tender loving care. All of these jobs will earn you double hours towards your 30 hour yearly requirement. If you interested in helping with any of these, please email Mr. Swanson at bswanson@csdo.org.


  • Replace two broken windows on Preschools side yard
  • Deep clean outside trash cans
  • Deep clean school kitchen refrigerators
  • Deep clean kitchen
  • Weekend outside table cleaning/power washing
 

Education in Virtue: Orderliness


Prayer:

Lord Jesus, please help me grow in the virtue of orderliness. Clear away the disorder in my life that causes me anxiety, prevents me from being responsible, or makes other people suffer because of my own mess. Bring order, Lord, into my life so I can have a mind and heart that are freer to love. Amen.

World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser


It’s that time of year again! We’re excited to kick off our chocolate bar fundraiser to help support St. David of Wales School.


Our fundraiser will run from Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, October 30. Boxes of chocolate bars will be available for pickup in the Main Office beginning October 1.


Each box contains 40 chocolate bars, priced at $2.00 each.

The best part? We keep 50% of every box sold! That means you’ll earn $40 in fundraising credit for every box you sell.

EXHALE Fitness


Bring a Friend Week at EXHALE Fitness | September 14–19
Looking for a fun, supportive way to get stronger and improve your fitness? EXHALE Fitness, a local Richmond gym owned by fellow St. David School parents, is opening our doors to the St. David community for Bring a Friend Week, September 14–19!
Throughout the week, you’re invited to try any of our group fitness classes completely free. Our coaches adjust every workout to meet you where you are, so no prior experience or particular fitness level is needed. Come once or join us as often as you’d like throughout the week. You don’t even need to attend with a current member!
Interested in joining us? [Register here] When Alex or Rebecca reaches out and asks who invited you, just let us know you heard about Bring a Friend Week through St. David. And feel free to share the invitation with a friend or family member who might like to join you!
