Dear St. David Families,

We hope that you have stayed cool as we navigate through this unseasonably warm weather! The heat has been challenging, but our school community has shown resilience and adaptability in ensuring that learning continues. Please remember to keep sending your child with a refillable water bottle to help them stay hydrated throughout the day.

Saying Yes

This week's 3-minute Retreat, offered by Loyola Press, is about the power of saying "yes". Everyday, we are called to make choices, and sometimes, saying "yes" can open doors to unexpected blessings. When we say "yes" to God, to opportunities, or to serving others, we allow ourselves to grow and enrich the lives of those around us. Let us all reflect on what we are called to say "yes" to this week--whether it's patience, kindness, or simply being present for our loved ones.

Together We Achieve

Thank you to our amazing families and teachers for the wonderful partnership during Parent-Teacher Conferences. The partnership between home and school is so important, and the time you've taken to connect with your child's teacher is a crucial step in supporting their growth. Your engagement and commitment to their academic and spiritual development do not go unnoticed.

Together, we continue to strengthen our village. Let's carry that spirit forward as we work toward achieving our goals for this year.

Stay Bear Strong!

Yours in faith,

Mr. Swanson & Ms. Medrano

WHY READING FOR 15-20 MINUTES MATTERS

The connection between wide reading and higher levels of literacy performance is well documented, and one analysis found that students who read independently for anything less than 15 minutes per day simply cannot keep up with rising expectations.
