Dear St. David Families,

As we (rapidly) approach the end of the 2023-24 school year, I'd like us to reflect on our theme of Connect and its significance throughout our journey together. This theme has been a guiding light, shaping our experiences and interactions, and fostering a sense of unity and collaboration within our school community.

Connecting With Students

Our students have engaged in diverse and enriching learning experiences, from classroom projects and group activities to extracurricular activities. These opportunities have allowed them to connect with their peers, share ideas, and develop important life skills.

Connecting With Families

Our partnership with families has been invaluable. Whether through parent-teacher conferences, volunteer opportunities, or school events, your involvement has strengthened the bridge between home and school. This connection has provided our students with a robust support system, reinforcing their confidence and encouraging their success.

Connecting Within the Community

This year, we have also worked on connecting with our broader community. Initiatives such as service projects, local partnerships, and advertising the school have enriched our students' understanding of the world around them.

Looking ahead, we encourage everyone to continue nurturing these connections. Stay engaged with the school community, support each other, and remain involved in your child's educational journey. Together, we can build an even stronger foundation for the future. Thank you for your support and being an integral part of our school community. We look forward to reconnecting in the new school year!

Yours in faith,

Ms. Medrano

VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS πŸ‘πŸ½

Are you looking to fulfill some of your hours during the school day? If you have a day off here and there during the work week, you are welcome to sign-up for one (or more) of our recess or lunch duties! There are 2 slots for each "shift" so you can grab a buddy to volunteer with you or get double hours and recruit someone! Thank you to the parents who have volunteered throughout the year and for the parents who suggested doing a sign-up genius!

Reminder: Families are required to volunteer at the school for a minimum of 30 hours during the school year. Service hours are valued at $25 per hour; therefore, the hours that are unearned by the end of the school year will be billed at that rate. Service hours must be earned by adult family members or legal guardians. Each volunteer must complete Virtus training (www.Virtus.org), which is good for 3 years before a renewal is necessary. Also, any volunteer working directly with the children must have a certificate on file for TB clearance and must be cleared through Livescan. Generally, service hours will be earned beginning the first day of school, and are to be completed by June 1st of the school year.

May Yard Duty Sign-Up

If you have more time outside of school hours, Mr. Brandon Wilkens, Class of 2006, is looking for help in the upkeep of our school. The button leads you to sign up to help with one of our current and summer projects.
