Week of September 16, Vol 2, Issue 6

Dear St. David Families,

As we enter the fifth week of this school year, Ms. Medrano is filled with gratitude and excitement to be returning from maternity leave. It has been a joy to watch from a distance as our students, teachers, and family embody the spirit of Bear Strong.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our staff and families for your unwavering support during Ms. Medrano's time away. It has been humbling to witness everyone's contributions to help maintain a smooth start of the year.

We continue to focus on our Student Learning Expectations, embracing what it means to be Blessed, Educated, Active, Respectful, and Social. We look forward to continuing this journey together as we nurture and celebrate the unique gifts of every student.

Here's to a wonderful remainder of the year, filled with growth, achievement, and shared success. Let's keep moving forward together as one Bear Strong community!

LUNCH DELIVERY

We kindly ask that all lunches, homework, backpacks, and other forgotten items for students be brought to the Main Office. Students can be called the office if they need to accept the item personally.

Let us maintain safety procedures and refrain from passing goods or visiting with students through the fence during school hours.

Dear St. David School Families,

Our annual Block Party is fast approaching, and we need your help to make it a fun and successful event for everyone! We are kindly asking for donations of time and items to support the various activities and booths. Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or donate supplies, every little bit makes a huge difference.

CYO ANNOUNCEMENT

Our CYO Sports program is in full swing and we are looking for passionate and dedicated olunteers to join us as coaches! CYO plays an essential role in fostering teamwork, discipline, and school spirit among our students, and none of it would be possible without the generous commitment of our parent and community volunteers.

No prior coaching experience is necessary--just a love for working with kids, a positive attitude, and a willingness to inspire and guide our young athletes. WILLOWS EXTENDED CARE

Just a reminder that the hours for Willows are as follows:

Mornings 7:00-7:50 AM

Monday-Friday 2:45-6:00 PM

Minimum days 12:00 PM-6:00 PM

A fun activity will be planned on Fridays for Funday Fridays. Some activities include, but are not limited to movie night, art projects, dance party, and special snacks.

EXCITING NEWS!

We are thrilled to announce that our beloved Mrs. S and her family are expecting a new bundle of joy! It takes a village and we are blessed to share that the new addition to their family is expected February 2025.

Back from Maternity Leave!

As we share in the joyful news of Mrs. S and her family, Ms. Medrano is back from maternity leave on September 16th!

Thank you so much to the students, staff, and families that have reached out during this time to offer support and care for our growing family. It has been a blessing to be a part of the St. David community as we go through this major life change. I am excited to return and energized to work alongside all of you to ensure that our students continue to thrive academically, spiritually, and socially.
