Dear St. David Families,

Thank you to the families who were able to help out in Fix the Field Day on October 20th. We were able to update our field so that students may have a safe and beautiful space to play and grow. We are so grateful for your service and teamwork: Brandon Wilkens, Felix Gonzalez, Javier Mejia, and Luis Medina.

In Sunday's Gospel (Mark 10:35-45), Jesus teaches a profound lesson on leadership and service. When James and John ask for positions of honor, Jesus reminds them that true greatness lies not in power or status, but in becoming a servant to others: "Whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will the slave of all."

This message resonates deeply with our mission at St. David. As we guide our student sin both academic growth and spiritual formation, we encourage them to embody Christ's example of humility and service. Whether it's helping a classmate, volunteering, or sharing kindess in simple ways, every act of service brings us closer to living as a community rooted in faith and love.

Let's challenge ourselves and our students to seek not only success but also ways to serve others with open hearts. Together, may we grow in faith, compassion, and unity--becomes true greatness comes from lifting one another up.

Yours in faith,

Mr. Swanson & Ms. Medrano
