St. David School Mission Statement

It is the mission of St. David of Wales Catholic School to consistently provide a safe environment for academic and spiritual growth. Rooted in Catholic beliefs and values our school prioritizes academic achievement and builds moral and social responsibility. We cultivate global citizens in a culturally diverse community, while promoting Catholic values and respect for all of God’s creations.

Dear St. David Families,

As we reflect on the joy of Catholic Schools Week, we are reminded of the profound gift of Catholic educaiton. At St. David of Wales Catholic School, we are blessed with the opportunity to nurture not only the minds of our studnets but also their hearts and souls. Rooted in faith, academic excellence, and service, our school is a place where children grow to become compassionate, thoughtful, and faith-filled individuals.

Catholic education is more than just a curriculum--it is a partnership. We know that our mission could not be fulfilled without the dedication and commitment of our families. Your choice to entrust your child's education to St. David is a testament to the values you hold dear, and we are deeply grateful for your support. Your presence, whether in the classroom, at Mass, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines, enriches our school community in countless ways.

As we continue our journey together, we also prepare for an important milestone: our WCEA (Western Catholic Educational Association) Accreditation Visit this sprint. This process allows us to reflect on our strengths as a school and identify reas for growth so that we may continue to provide the highest quality Catholic education for our students. Your partnership is essential in this effort, and we thank you for your ongoing prayers and support.

Thank you for choosing St. David of Wales as part of your child's educational journey. It is an honor to walk alongside you in guiding our students toward academic success, strong moral character, and a deep love for God. May we continue to work together in faith, love, and unity.

Yours in faith,

Mr. Swanson & Ms. Medrano

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK -

CELEBRATE OUR FAMILIES AND PARENTS

Catholic Schools Week was a joyful celebration of our faith, community, and the incredible students and families who make St. David of Wales Catholic School such a special place. From honoring vocations to celebrating our teachers, students, and families, this past week reminded us of the deep connections that strengthen our school.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our parents and families. Your involvement is not just appreciated—it is essential. Catholic education thrives because of your dedication, support, and active participation. Whether you joined us for Mass, helped feed our staff, made that last minute trip to Target for donations to GRIP, or simply encouraged your child’s excitement for each day’s events, you played a vital role in making this week a success.

As we move forward in the school year, let’s continue to work together in faith and partnership. Thank you for being an integral part of our school family. We are Bear Strong: Together We Achieve!

Hot Lunch at St. David - Som-thing Special Catering

Dear Family, Staff, and Students of St. David,

My name is Som S. Zaragoza, chef and owner of Som-thing Special Catering. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my team: Dana Knight and Stephon Saengsourith. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve meals at St. David.

Currently, all our meals are prepared fresh daily in the commercial kitchen at Salesian College Preparatory, where we also serve the students and staff. Additionally, I have partnered with Meal Manage, an online meal ordering portal, for easy menu browsing and pre-ordering.

This is my third year catering at Salesian and my fourth month at St. David, and I am excited to continue growing and serving both our students and the wider community.

If you have any questions, concerns, or need assistance with setting up a Meal Manage account, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at hotlunch@stdavidschool.org or text or call me at 510-672-6108.

Thank you once again, and I wish everyone a blessed and prosperous 2025!

Warm regards,

Som S. Zaragoza
