This morning, Father Chuck shared the Downtown Austin Alliance's selection of St. David’s Episcopal Church as the recipient of the Downtown Vision Award.


They kindly ask that we keep this award a secret for the time being as a formal announcement will be made later.


We also want to make you aware of a DAA videographer who will be with us this Sunday, April 21, to film Earth Day activities, the Historic Church, and parishioner interviews for our award video.

Ascension Day is one of the seven Principal Feasts of the Episcopal Church. This service is on the 40th day after Easter and celebrates the occasion on which the risen Christ is taken into heaven. 


This service will be livestreamed.

TRINITY CENTER'S BARBARA JORDAN FUNDRAISER

On Thursday, April 11, Trinity Center held it's most important annual fundraiser in Bethell Hall. Participants helped raise funds for Trinity's essential services to support those struggling with homelessness and poverty in downtown Austin.

HELP WITH SPRING CLEANING AT NEXT-TO-NEW SHOP

Help our beloved consignment and resale shop with spring cleaning and inventory. Lunch will be provided. Sales at Next-to-New provide funds both for local non-profit grants and for the restoration of our Historic Church.

PARISH MOVIE NIGHT: INSIDE OUT

THIS Saturday, April 20

5:30-7:30 p.m., Sumners Hall

Movie-themed decorations, treats (Bing Bong snack mix), and pizza will be provided at this movie night for all ages. Kids can get settled with their favorite pillow, sleeping bag, or blanket at 5 p.m. before the movie starts at 5:30 p.m. Inside Out is the theme of the current Junior Journeys children's class on Sundays, 10-11 a.m.

Support our young musicians by attending their annual musical. This year, they will perform the play Wise Guys.

BECOME A CAFÉ DIVINE VOLUNTEER

Chef Ray needs volunteers in the kitchen. Shifts are on a five-week rotation.

  • Tuesday-Thursdays: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Sundays: 7:30-11:30 a.m.

No experience is necessary. Families are welcome. As Chef Ray says, "Come join the few, the fun, the divine!"

NOMINEES NAMED FOR 28TH

PRESIDING BISHOP

Central New York Bishop DeDe Duncan-Probe on April 16 was added as a nominee by petition to stand for election as The Episcopal Church’s 28th presiding bishop, joining four other bishops who were announced two weeks ago on the initial slate of nominees to succeed Presiding Bishop Michael Curry.
