ST. DAVID'S AT EPISCOPAL PARISH NETWORK CONFERENCE
St. David's staff, parishioners, and clergy attended and presented this week at the 2024 Episcopal Parish Network conference, which was held at the Westin Galleria and Westin Oaks in Houston, TX.
Father Chuck was a panelist for a workshop entitled A Spiritual Community that Gets Things Done. Parish Administrator Jim Lamm moderated a discussion with parishioner Jeanie Garrett about church safety and security. Parishioner John Burnett led a panel honoring Presiding Bishop Michael B. Curry.

IFTAR DINNER
Tuesday, April 2

St. David’s will be hosting again this year an Iftar dinner provided by The Dialogue Institute of Austin. Iftar dinners break the daily fast observed by Muslims during the month of Ramadan, March 11-April 9.
This is a wonderful opportunity for interfaith sharing and learning more about Islam. There is no cost for the dinner, but we do ask that you register soon so we know how many dinners to prepare.

MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT: USHERS
Join us in serving the congregation during worship times! Ushers welcome parishioners and distribute worship bulletins. We also help with plate collections during the offertory. Volunteers are needed for both the 9 and 11:15 a.m. services.
Training for new and current Ushers will be held Saturday, March 23, at 10 a.m. To learn more or attend this training, contact ushers@stdave.org.

MONTH OF SERVICE APRIL 2024
St. David’s Month of Service is a chance to celebrate discipleship through acts of service (and love) that aid our church, neighbors, and local communities.
This year, our ‘Month of Service’ will be during the 50 Days of Easter, so we hope our service projects will be a wonderful way to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus through acts of kindness and charity. More information and sign-up coming soon!

APPLICATION GRANTS DUE MARCH 8
St. David’s Episcopal Church has a long history of – and deep commitment to – helping people in need in the Austin community. As part of these ongoing efforts, St. David’s distributes annual grants of $10,000 to support non-profit organizations that serve those in need and disadvantaged populations in Austin and Travis County.
St. David’s Grants Committee for Community Outreach (GCCO) is accepting grant applications until March 8.
