PARISH DISCUSSION ON PROVIDING COLD WEATHER SHELTER

The Rev. Chuck Treadwell and members of the Community Engagement Committee invite all to a special parish meeting to discuss providing emergency cold weather shelter in 2024. St. David’s has been asked to be a cold weather shelter for families as part of the City of Austin’s Cold Weather Shelter Program. CELEBRATE MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY WITH US

St. David’s Episcopal Church invites everyone who can to join with St. James Episcopal Church as we jointly participate in Austin’s Annual Martin Luther King Community Celebration.
We will gather on the south steps of the Texas Capitol at 9:15 a.m. under St. James’ red and gold banner to participate in the annual MLK March. The MLK March proceeds across 11th St. to Huston-Tillotson University to the MLK Community Festival. All MLK celebrants are invited to park in St. David’s parking garage at no cost on Jan. 15.
Marching together to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy is a wonderful way to uplift and support the beautiful diversity of our city. If you have any questions, please contact Dianne Hardy-Garcia or call 512.610.3500, ext. 169.

The Monday Connection is a quarterly lunch gathering at the Seminary of the Southwest featuring guest speakers sharing their stories about translating faith into works.
On Jan. 22, the guest will be Mary Emeny, a conservationist and community leader in Amarillo who has started a Habitat for Humanity affiliate there, created the Wildcat Bluff Nature Center, and chaired the Mariposa Village Community Land Trust.
