Chef Ray and his team need volunteers to cook their favorite side dishes, salads, and desserts (four servings each) for our Easter Sunday potluck in Bethell Hall and cookie reception in Sumners Hall. To sign up please email chef.ray@stdave.org.

MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT: USHERS

Join us in serving the congregation during worship times! Ushers welcome parishioners and distribute worship bulletins. We also help with plate collections during the offertory. Volunteers are needed for both the 9 and 11:15 a.m. services.


Training for new and current Ushers will be held Saturday, March 23, at 10 a.m. To learn more or attend this training, contact ushers@stdave.org.

As we prepare for Palm Sunday and Easter, we ask for donations to provide the decorations and special musical offerings for these sacred Sundays.


There are offertory envelopes in the pews in Historic Church. Please check the appropriate box to contribute. Or donate online, select the fund "Holiday Gifts," and you can specify a sub-fund; for example, Easter flowers, Easter music, and/or Easter gift.

VOLUNTEERS AND PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR IFTAR DINNER

Tuesday, April 2

7-9 p.m., Bethell Hall

This event will be the kick-off for our Month of Service during the 50 Days of Easter. St. David’s will host an Iftar dinner provided by The Dialogue Institute of Austin.


During the month of Ramadan, Iftar Dinner breaks the daily fast observed by Muslims.


In addition to your presence at this free event, we need volunteers as greeters and hosts to welcome our guests and help with set-up/clean-up.

NATIONAL POETRY MONTH LECTURES

Sundays in April

Local rap artist Chucky BLK, will start off our series for National Poetry Month by performing some of his work and talking about the power of rap as a poetic form. BLK, real name Charles Stephens, found his voice as a slam poet, competing in national tournaments while attending Austin’s McCallum High.
