PRAYING THE PANDEMIC

6-7 p.m. Wednesdays in October

This weekly evening series was created as a space for reflection, conversation, and action as we explore the effects of the pandemic on our souls. Each session will be centered around the biblical text, using the practice of Lectio Divina to help us connect with God, each other, and ourselves.

This weekly meal is offered for those gathering for Bible study, choir practice, or just for some fellowship time. Tables are spaced for social distancing and all are masked except while eating. Or you can take your dinner (and dessert) to go. Menu updated weekly.

Presented by Dr. Tony Baker, Clinton S. Quin Professor of Systematic Theology, Seminary of the Southwest. Dr. Baker investigates the intersection of classical accounts of theosis with current issues in ecology.

Sept. 26: St. Francis of Assisi

Presented by Sr. Marie Angele Sanchez, Franciscan Sisters of our Lady of Perpetual Help. Sister Marie Angele will share how Francis of Assisi challenges us to take our appropriate role of ‘dominion’ over a sacred creation.

YOUTH FORMATION

10-11 a.m. most Sundays

Meet on the Playground

Youth in grades 6th-12th gather on the playground for check-ins, then split by middle/high school. Free donuts, good discussion, and lots of fun. All are welcome! Learn more stdave.org/youth.

CHILDREN'S CHOIRS

6-7 p.m., Wednesdays REGISTRATION OPEN

The children's choirs will meet on the Labyrinth to play games, learn music, and prepare to sing for the congregation. Contact Maureen Broy Papovich with questions about our children's choirs.

SUNDAY CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

10-11 a.m., most Sundays

Classes will be online and on Labyrinth.

Ages 3-5th grade, register once for the whole year. Classes meet in the Labyrinth or on Zoom.

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based, experiential educational program focused on liturgy and scripture.
Junior Journeys offers age-appropriate, short-term courses that focus on specific topics in children’s walk with and path to God.
