This weekend we welcome the Rev. Mercedes Julian as celebrant at the Saturday, 5:00 service, and the Rev. Gary Lemery as celebrant for the 8:00 and 10:00 services on Sunday. At 10:00 we will be celebrating the baptisms of James Christopher Aloisio and Vivan Mathivana, welcoming them into "the household of God," (from the Baptismal liturgy). We will be renewing our own Baptismal Vows and continuing to sing and say the Alleluias that were packed away during Lent. I was reminded of the prayer attributed to Teresa of Avila, which was shared in our EfM group recently: Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours. Welcome James and Vivan into this magnificent community of faith! Happy Easter, Allelulia! Sue Hurn.
