My Dear Parish Family,
I would like to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day greeting to all of our Moms this weekend! Mothers through adoption, conception and in maternal spirit all care for us in a way like no other. Moms can often make difficult work look too easy! This is precisely why we must remind ourselves to set aside some time to show that gratitude by our actions. A simple day set aside on the calendar is just simply not enough. With all the running around, dropping kids off at practices, perhaps making sure healthy meals are provided and looking after the education needs of the children, a Mom’s work can be taken for granted but never should!
One of the most precious works a Mother offers is her love for her family. Love demands sacrifice and an imitation of Christ and His love of the Church. A Christian Mother’s unconditional love is like no other. By choosing the Blessed Virgin Mary as the ultimate example of motherhood, our Moms offer a priceless insight into the compassion and mercy of God. Let us thank God for all of our Mothers, both living and deceased, and pray with gratitude for their loving service.
Please continue to pray for me as I will pray for you.
Magno Cum Gaudio,

SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
First Reading: Acts 10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48
Peter preaches to the Gentiles for the first time in the house of Cornelius. Peter realized that God would accept any person who acted uprightly, regardless of his or her heritage. Then the Holy Spirit descended on the Gentiles and Peter allowed them to be baptized in the name of Jesus.
Second Reading: 1 John 4:7-10
John advises all believers to love one another, for love is a gift from God. The person without love does not know God, whose love for us is so great he sent his only son so that we might have life through him.
Gospel: John 15:9-17
Jesus asks his disciples to live on in his love and to “Love one another as I have loved you.” He explains that he chose them to follow him, and promises if they keep his commandments they will have anything that they ask for in his name.

We are keeping up with technology! Our parish provides Online Giving as an electronic tool for contributions so you can give via the ‘web’. Online Giving helps you maintain your giving even if you cannot be here at Mass. This also helps the parish streamline our cash flow, especially during bad weather or vacation times.
We offer you the ability to set up recurring or one-time basis Church donations using your credit card or automatic withdrawal from your bank account (ACH). The process is completely handled by you, the donator. By accessing the secure Website, you create a log-on and set up or modify your payment schedule or even to make a one-time donation.
Once you set up your account, you can make changes whenever you want; no phone calls are necessary to the parish office to change or even cancel your arrangement. Eliminate writing checks each week! One-time or recurring donations can be made through our secure online partner using direct debit from a bank account or credit cards. You can designate the fund that you wish to donate. Using our ONLINE GIVING SYSTEM you can manage your account through your PC, tablet, or phone. You can even “quick donate" via text message. Please Click on the above "donate" button or visit the website at www.stdominicsparish.com to learn more about online giving!
