St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish
Bringing People Into A Growing Relationship With Jesus Christ
He is risen! Alleluia! Happy Easter! This weekend we celebrate that through His death and resurrection, we are given a new life where we are free from the chains of sin. Someone had to pay the price for our sins, and He willingly paid it for us.
For all the information about Holy Week and Easter celebrations, please visit our Holy Week webpage:
If you have tickets for an Easter Sunday Mass, and your plans change, please be sure to let us know as soon as possible so we can cancel your tickets and give them to others on the waiting list.

PRAY
Divine Mercy Novena

Divine Mercy Sunday is on April 11th and the Divine Mercy Novena begins on Good Friday. If you're interested in praying the novena, you can sign up to receive it in your email through Ascension Press.

In honor of Divine Mercy Sunday, a parishioner donated the print in this write-up. You'll have the opportunity to see it in person when it is displayed in the confessional!

On Divine Mercy Sunday, there will be adoration at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton from 2:30 to 3:30 PM, with the Divine Mercy Chaplet being prayed at 3 PM.

The Lord expressed His will with regard to the Divine Mercy Feast to St. Maria Faustina Kowalska in His first revelation to her. We hope you'll have the opportunity to participate.
"3 Conversations" Easter Small Groups

Easter is not one day but 50 days! It is also the perfect time to share the good news of what God has done in your life with others in the parish!
We are currently organizing small groups of people to meet online or in-person to pray and share faith together during the Easter season. 3 meetings will be held, and no preparation is required! Contact Trish Lokmer if you are interested in being part of this group: 393-3778, [email protected] OR sign up here: https://forms.gle/kGeEbSaGcsioztiBA

Have you been part of the “3 Conversations” and want to help facilitate an Easter group? Contact Trish to help!

Good Friday Collection

Pope Francis has asked our parish to support the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land. When you contribute in this collection on Good Friday, you stand in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land as a witness of peace, supporting Catholics there in parishes and schools, maintaining Christian shrines and caring for refugees in the Holy Land.
Please be generous. For more information about Christians in the Holy Land, visit www.myfranciscan.org/good-friday.

No Children's Liturgy of the Word on Easter Weekend

There will be no Children's Liturgy of the Word on Easter Weekend (April 4th) or the weekend of April 18th.

Immediate Need for Children's Liturgy of the Word Ministers

Do you enjoy sharing your faith and bringing children into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ? We have an immediate need for new and returning ministry team members.

You only need to commit 20 minutes, once a month during Mass. The PowerPoint lesson is created for you, so you just need to love God, show up and share that love with children!

Please email Kelli DeVries at [email protected] to join this wonderful ministry team.
CRS Rice Bowls - Happy Easter

We prayed, fasted and gave alms—and now we rejoice because Christ is risen! Our Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl challenges us as we begin the Easter season to share the joy of having a loving God that is alive and accompanies us always. Let’s do the same by being present to our global family by caring for their material and spiritual needs. Don’t forget to turn in your CRS Rice Bowl at the basket in the narthex at church. Visit crsricebowl.org to learn more.

Ministry Minute -
Panera Bread Pickup Ministry

Look at all that bread Maize and Tom Micek picked up last week! The Panera Bread Pick Up Ministry helps prevent leftovers from going to waste and drops it off in the community. The team rotates to pick up on Mondays and drops it off at the Linn County Jail, ASAC (Area Substance Abuse Council) and the Larry A Nelson Center. We're currently in the process of adding a weekend pick up day, and adding more community partners. If you know of an organization that would take the leftover bread, let Kelli DeVries know ([email protected].)
Habitat for Humanity Faith Community Build

You helped us build God's house - now let's give back and build Isaac Sengorore & Nathalie Murekatete's house!

Thanks to your financial contributions, we finished paying off our church last year. Now we're giving back by financially supporting the Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity Faith Build. We invite you to watch the virtual groundbreaking on April 1st at 3 PM! It will be livestreamed on the Habitat for Humanity Facebook page. If you're interested in getting involved in the Faith Build, contact Kelli DeVries ([email protected].)
