PVEPD Safety Preparedness Presentation

St. Francis will be hosting PVEPD Safety Preparedness Presentation (to include Active Shooter) by the Palos Verdes Police. We would like to invite you and your interested parishioners to join us for this presentation. The presentation will be on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 11:30 am in our Parish Hall. We welcome anyone who may be interested and ask that they RSVP to Claire at 310-375-4517 so that we will know how many to expect. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Father Jason's Week in Review

February 8: Pastoral visits; admin tasks; pastoral phone calls. 


February 9: Pastoral visit; sermon prep.  


February 10: Sermon prep; Chinese New Year. 


February 11: Sunday services; funeral planning after the service. 


February 12: Funeral planning; warden’s meeting; admin tasks. 


February 13: Funeral Planning; pastoral phone calls; Shrove Tuesday service of reconciliation and dinner; the gumbo and shrimp etouffee were amazing - the Friars outdid themselves!  


February 14: Ash Wednesday/Valentines Day; 7:00 am Ash Wednesday service; 10:00 am service for 30th anniversary of murdered PVE officers, followed by reception in the Parish Hall; 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm Ashes to Go in the lower parking lot - we had well over 15 cars come visit, most with 2 people inside; 6:00 pm Ash Wednesday Service and Eucharist.

8:00 am

Rite I in-person worship in the Chapel, with hymns. This service is not live-streamed.


10:00 am

Rite II in-person worship in the main church with choir and music.

Nursery School and Sunday School


Sunday school for children in kindergarten through fifth grade will be held in the Parish Hall from 9:50 am to 10:40 am (ish ... the kids typically come in at the Peace). There is a nursery for children 6 months to 5 years old.
