Catechumenate on Zoom!
There are some wonderful things about Zoom! It allows us to connect from wherever we are. It saves us travel to meetings. It simplifies our preparations. It allows us freedom to meet whenever it is convenient, without worries about travel or babysitters. Though it limits our views of each other, it allows us to meet unmasked. In this time of pandemic, Zoom is a huge blessing; it will be after the pandemic, as well. It will allow us to have a catechumenate in 2021!
More than 120 folks at St. Francis have participated in our catechumenates over the years. Almost all of those folks found the experience to be one that helped them feel better connected at St. Francis and better informed about the language and customs of the Episcopal Church and St. Francis in particular. Please join us in 2021 for weekly Zoom meetings (at least until we’re all vaccinated!) when we can get to know each other and the parish, learn the blessings and obligations of baptism in our tradition, share prayers and stories and let the Holy Spirit work in us.
We’ll begin in mid-January 2021 and finish in April. Please contact Christopher Onstad or Terri Hoffmann for information or to enroll!

Lenten Booklet
In the past several years, during the season of Lent, we were all given a charming little booklet with meditations for each day of Lent. The entries consisted of original prose and poems, as well as submissions of favorite poems, psalms, Bible passages, uplifting thoughts, points to ponder, and children’s artwork. The entries came from us-- from our wonderful, talented St. Francis parishioners, from young and old, and drew us closer together for our Lenten journey.
Ash Wednesday is February 17, but the entries must be in by Wednesday, February 10.
Start your thinking and send in your pearls of wisdom and your jewels of thoughts, as soon as possible. *Names on the submissions are optional*
Many Thanks! Jane Domagalski (503-266-9440)

New Usher Needed!
Our new and very successful video ministry requires some of our ushers to operate the video equipment. Because of this we are short one usher/greeter. This ministry does have a few parts, but they are very straightforward to perform. If you are interested in participating in this very important activity, please contact Richard Martens. Thank You!

Covid-19/Fire Fund
The St. Francis Covid-19 Fund has distributed thousands of dollars to the local community for Covid-19 relief. With the recent fires, there are additional needs in our community.
If you would like to contribute to this work, you can send a check to St. Francis, and in the memo line please note that the funds are for the Covid-19/Fire Relief Fund.
Our address is St. Francis of Assisi, PO Box 445, Wilsonville, OR 97070.
Or, you can make a contribution online to our PayPal account through the link above. PayPal does not offer a memo line; so simply email us to let us know if you have made a PayPal contribution for the Covid-19/Fire Relief Fund.
