Exterior Building Maintenance

Over the next few weeks, when you look outside at St. Francis, you may notice the progress of some work being done on the exterior of the building. This is ongoing maintenance to address a few issues with the siding and gutters. We appreciate Brandt Construction's diligent work on this project!

Christmas in August: Items for Our Christmas Bag Ministry

We have collected enough crayons and notebooks for our Christmas Bags! We are still in need of pens and pencils, and we are also now collecting Chapstick and pocket packs of tissues. Items can be placed in the purple bin in the vestibule just before the nave doors (across from the bulletin table). You may also make a monetary donation, specifying that it’s for the Christmas Bags, and your donation will go towards the cost of supplies. Those funds go towards purchasing items such as stuffed animals and hats & gloves in bulk, so your donation goes a long way!

2026 Photo Directory Now Available

If you have not yet received your copy of the 2026 St. Francis Photo Directory, Deb Lanie will be distributing them again this Sunday, August 30th after both services.

Announcing the 2026-2027 SFZ Concert Series!

Our SFORZANDO concert series returns for another season with solos and ensembles from across the region, from jazz combos to Renaissance music and more! Information about each concert and performers can be found on our website. A brochure with this information is available on the table in the Gathering Space.

Youth Formation

Sunday School Volunteers Needed

The next Sunday School date is this Sunday, August 30th. Volunteers are needed to teach all dates; you can sign up at the link below!

Sunday School (for grades K-4) is held during the 10 am service until the Peace; the class will walk into the service together. All volunteers must have a current background check and have completed Safe Church, Safe Communities abuse prevention courses (about 3 hours of online modules). Please contact the office if you need to complete Safe Church or have questions.

Children & Youth Formation Form

If you have a child of any age from 0-18 (nursery through high school) who will participate in our formation offerings this program year, please follow this link to register them! The form should only take a few minutes, and it will ensure we have necessary information for all children and youth and help us provide relevant communication to parents. Households with multiple children should fill out the form once for each child. There will also be a QR code for the form available in the Sunday School classroom. Thank you in advance!

Nursery Schedule

On Sunday, September 6th, the nursery will be closed due to Labor Day weekend. Families are welcome to use the space as long as a parent or guardian is present.

The nursery will be open from 9-11:30 am, as per usual, for the remaining Sundays in September.

Adult Formation

Fun Day at Waycross!

Beloved & Empowered Capital Campaign Kickoff

Something special is happening this fall, and we want you to be part of it!

Grab a hat, pack a folding chair, and head for Waycross Camp on September 12th from 1:00-5:00 p.m. to launch Beloved & Empowered, a diocese-wide effort to invest in the youth and young adults who are the heart of our community and the future of our church. (Click here to learn more about the campaign!)

This is a day to slow down, reconnect with friends from across the diocese, and celebrate what's ahead — together, as one big family.

Bring your family. Bring your friends. Everyone is welcome! Expect good food, lawn games, a bounce house, a DJ, and inspiring words from Bishop Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows about the vision behind Beloved & Empowered.

The registration deadline is September 4th; click the button below to RSVP.
