Flu Season and Communion:
Due to the flu season being upon us we will stop giving the blood during communion, we will only give the body. This change will remain in effect until Easter Sunday 2019.

Elijah Cup Prayers for Vocations
Our parish has a beautiful ministry dedicated in prayerful support of vocations - The Elijah Cup Ministry.
The Elijah Cup is a consecrated chalice taken home for one week, rotated at each Mass.  There is also the monthly chalice given at every First Friday Devotion Mass.  Each carrying case comes with a chalice, instructions, a selection of prayers, Rosary, book, and spiritual journal to share the experiences felt while praying for those called to religious life.
A receiving family or individual displays the chalice in a prominent place at home and prays for an increase of men and women called to religious vocations:  priests, deacons, seminarians, sisters or nuns.  Knowing that you are praying for them will lift their called hearts ready to serve or to continue as our spiritual leaders bringing us closer to God.
We always need families and individuals to pray for vocations.   What a blessing ...so let this chalice journey to your home and t hank you for the prayerful consideration!
Please look for the sign-up sheet in the narthex.  For more information, please contact:

Have You Ever Met A Saint?
I feel like I have and you will have the opportunity to meet him also on Friday night, November 9 at 7 pm in La Salette Hall. John Drake was an executive with a Fortune 500 company in 2002 working on a project in Toledo City in the Philippines. John was called to help the children there and what he has accomplished is truly a miracle. John saw abandoned children with no hope, no future, and no place to go. "I would wake up in the night crying" he said. He decided to do what he could and his work has been featured on CNN, he has been the cover story of Faith magazine, he has been recognized by the President of the Philippines, and the Lingap Center has been a top rated non-profit every year since 2012. He will share both heartbreaks and successes and share his incredible story with us. You will not want to miss this opportunity to see God work thru one individual who answered his call and you will see that miracles happen and saints still walk the Earth.
