Reflections from Aleta ...

There is a little Swarovski crystal angel who sits on my office desk. A tiny jade cross hangs from her neck. Her back is to the east window, she is unaware of the view of sprawling green chaos occasionally referred to as a garden behind her. The office also doubles as the “gym” and one morning while stretched out in a yoga pose on my back as the instructor spoke during our zoomed class, I happened to open my eyes and was delighted to see . . .

St. Francis Hike at Mianus River State Park Scenic Reserve, Stamford

Saturday, August 1 @ 10 a.m.

Join us! This hiking spot is beloved for its diverse landscapes, stunning beauty, and gentle trails.

Directions: Take Long Ridge Rd. to Riverbank Rd., then turn onto Farms Rd. Take the first right onto Pony Trail Rd. and park in the cul-de-sac. We will gather there and walk about 0.2 miles along Farms Rd. to the trailhead.

Are you looking for a meaningful way to show solidarity with your immigrant neighbors? If so, join SNUI to learn how to safely and effectively accompany immigrant community members to court hearings at the Stamford courthouse.

There are three ways to participate:

Donate money for school supplies.
Volunteer at the distribution event on August 18th.
