Embodying God's love by building community through worship, inclusivity, and outreach.

Hello, Friends of St Francis!

Rector’s Reflection: Advent Guide to Gratitude

In her book of daily meditations, “Have a Beautiful, Terrible Day!,” theologian, poet and Christian historian Kate Bowler describes Advent as the “tiniest inkling” that joy is our natural habitat. Of course, when the world’s cacophony of fear, violence and division seem intent on eroding even that inkling, it can be hard to know what to do with this season. For me, Advent has always been an invitation to renew my prayer life by naming where God’s grace still shows up in the twilight of anticipation. If you would like to join me, here is my nightly gratitude practice for Advent. Read more

BELOVED: Generosity 2026

We’re so grateful for everyone who has pledged to support St. Francis in 2026. If you haven’t yet made your pledge, there’s still time. We invite you to prayerfully consider your pledge for next year and make your commitment. Every pledge matters and helps our parish live out our mission to love God and neighbor.

Celebrating 25 Years of 2810

On Sunday, December 21, we will joyfully celebrate the 25th anniversary of the New Church at 2810 Long Ridge Road during the 10:00 a.m. service. Together we will give thanks not only for this sacred space, but also for the visionary parishioners, leaders, and friends who planned and built the church we love. A special anniversary reception will follow the service to continue the celebration. All are warmly invited.
