Embodying God's love by building community through worship, inclusivity, and outreach.

Hello, Friends of St Francis!

Rector's Christmas Message

Dear Beloved,

On this day before Christmas, I want to say what a blessing it is for me and Heidi to be on this beautiful adventure with you in this sacred season. This is my first Christmas with you. The very first Christmas was simple, but heaven and earth still managed to meet. So as we prepare our hearts and homes for the coming of Emmanuel, I want to offer you the simple gifts of a song (above) and a poem (below):

BC:AD

By U.A. Fanthorpe

This was the moment when Before

Turned into After, and the future's

Uninvented timekeepers presented arms.

This was the moment when nothing

Happened. Only dull peace

Sprawled boringly over the earth.

This was the moment when even energetic Romans

Could find nothing better to do

Than counting heads in remote provinces.

And this was the moment

When a few farm workers and three

Members of an obscure Persian sect

Walked haphazard by starlight straight

Into the kingdom of heaven.

Christmas blessings and peace,

BELOVED: Generosity 2026

We’re so grateful for everyone who has pledged to support St. Francis in 2026. If you haven’t yet made your pledge, there’s still time. We invite you to prayerfully consider your pledge for next year and make your commitment. Every pledge matters and helps our parish live out our mission to love God and neighbor.
