Throughout this school year, some of our students have been participating in weekly, small group, sensory-based language activities. Groups are led by Christina, one of our school’s speech-language pathologists.

 Weekly activities vary and have included the creation of edible firetrucks, rainbows, and flowers. Making apple and pumpkin pie in a cup, exploring real and making fake snow, decorating cookies, painting eggs and more. Activities bring language to life!

In 2020, SFDS began seeking funds to make our playground more inclusive for the wonderful population of students that we serve.

Two years later, thanks to the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation and The Lavelle Fund we have officially broken ground!

Follow along as we share our progress to make our outdoor space a place where all students can thrive!
