From Rev. Keith
Dear Friends:
Pat and I can’t thank you enough for all the prayers, good wishes, texts, beautiful and creative cards, video and prayer shawls and prayer quilt I’ve received since my accident.

They have lifted my spirits more than words can say.

I have been blessed with an incredible team of caregivers and supporters. I am so grateful to the first responders, and hospital staff, from nurses and surgeons to housekeeping, and of course to my primary caregiver, my wife Pat.

I am also thankful to my family and quick-thinking and wise retreat cohorts. There are so many others to whom I owe thanks.
I am working hard, following doctor’s orders, doing physical therapy and taking the medicines prescribed in order to recover. It will take some time.

Pat and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to St. George's and St. Mark's leadership and staff, to our Bishops and diocesan staff, to friends and colleagues far and near. Your outstanding support has sustained us in a challenging and difficult time.

This is not the Lent I had planned, but God is present. My body is being re-formed and my spirit is grateful. Thanks be to God and thank you all. I am feeling a little stronger every day. Your prayers help! Please keep the prayers coming. Pat and I appreciate them and you.

Love and Blessings,
Rev. Keith
Send a Card to Fr. Keith
Many parishioners have asked how they can send best wishes to Fr. Keith.

If you would like to send him a personal card, we will have a basket available in the Narthex on Sunday. Please feel free to drop your card in the basket and we will make sure the card gets to him.

Please keep Fr. Keith and Rev. Pat in your prayers.

El Toro Interchange Project Update
Here is an email response to our request for an update on the status of the El Toro Interchange Project, from OCTA's Fernando Chavarria:
"Thank you again for contacting OCTA and taking my return call. As I shared yesterday, staff has not finalized the environmental document. The item has not come before the OCTA Board of Directors.
"And there has been no recommendation of a potential alternative (be it a no-build or build alternative) for approval. The process, which has, and continues to, involve Caltrans District 12, OCTA, the cities of Lake Forest, Laguna Woods and Laguna HIlls, etc., is ongoing.

"Please be assured that consistent with regulations, and as communicated throughout this effort to all parties, responses to public comments are published for review in a Final Environmental Document. Notification of said publication, and availability of said document, is made upon authorized completion of the process. In the meantime, you - and any and all other members of the public - are welcome to check in for updates as you see fit. As I hope I've demonstrated to Rev. McCaughan and her parishioners, I am respectful of interests, welcome your communications and do my utmost to be responsive ."

Thanks to all who are filling the Food Barrels in the narthex for South County Outreach. During 2019 we brought in 1,384 pounds of food, an average of 115 pounds per month! Let's do even better than that in 2020! Suggestions would be canned tuna/chicken, bags of rice and beans, peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables, canned fruit, cereal, oatmeal, breakfast and/or granola bars, nuts, pancake mix, syrup, honey.

Thanks everyone!

Keep up the good work and please make it a habit. Please pick up something for the barrels each time you shop for food and say a prayer for the people who will receive the food we bring. God bless you for your compassion and generosity.

And thanks to those who assisted in any way with the Adopt a Family/Senior drive during the holidays. Families were very touched as were the Outreach members who delivered the gifts.
