This year we are excited to be joining once again with our local sister churches, Community West and Christ Pres., for Holy Week. This is what our schedule looks like this year.

March 29 - Palm Sunday

We will be celebrating Palm Sunday at St. Giles at 10:30 with our 2026 Easter Cantata titled, "It Is Finished.” This will be conducted by Angelo Galarza and will feature our Community Choir and a small chamber orchestra.

April 2 - Maundy Thursday

St. Giles will host Maundy Thursday this year at 7:00pm.

April 3 - Good Friday

Community West will host Good Friday this year at 7:00pm.

April 5 - Easter

We will have our Easter service at 10:30 with a community egg hunt and catered refreshments to follow.

Second Annual March Madness for Missions

Once again, to assist in raising funds for our youth summer mission trip, our church is combining their love of mission with a (much) lesser love…March Madness basketball! We will have a special “Sweet 16” bracket tournament at St. Giles where people can donate $10 for each Sweet 16 Bracket they would like to submit. To submit your bracket(s) you can either:

  1. Fill this out physically and submit it to Taylor Greene this Wednesday evening 3/25
  2. Download it BY CLICKING HERE then email it to Taylor as an attachment to: ctgreene2008@gmail.com
  3. Download it and take a picture and text it to Taylor

The winner of the tournament will be recognized with our annual trophy to be given at the Youth Fundraiser Dinner in Spring. This is a fun family-friendly way to help support our youth missions initiative. All proceeds will go directly to helping fund each individual’s trip. If you have questions you can contact Taylor Greene.

Global Missions Easter Offering - Mar. 29 & Apr. 5

Every year we have a very special offering during the Easter season that goes towards our Global Missions Expansion Fund. This fund is what we use to meet needs with our global mission partners that are not budgeted for, such as emergencies, catalytic opportunities, and one-time investments. It also goes towards assisting with trips in our three main partner areas of Egypt, Kazakhstan, and Uganda.

Please pray for how the Lord might be calling you to further the work of global mission through St. Giles.

In June 2025 we asked for volunteers to answer the phone in the church office for 3 hours in the afternoon once a month. Fifteen of you responded and have faithfully answered the phones from 1-4 pm for the past ten months. During this time life has changed for some and now we are in need of additional volunteers to work one afternoon a month and be the friendly voice of St. Giles or to serve as a substitute. If you might be willing to fill this need, please contact Lynne Chambers at 804-396-3053 to discuss the position.
