Praising God for Mission RVA Lunch!

This past Tuesday we were very fortunate to have over 20 ministries from the Richmond area gather for lunch, prayer, and fellowship. It was an incredible time of meeting new people, growing closer with others, and hoping together for what only God can do in our city.

Please pray for these ministries. This Sunday we will be giving out a prayer guide for each of the ministries we support at St. Giles. We hope you’ll join us during November to pray for our city!

Stewardship Sunday coming Nov. 15 & 22

This week pledge cards are going out in the mail to our Covenant Partners and friends. On behalf of the Stewardship team, thank you for prayerfully taking time to fill these out. We will be collecting these during worship on both Sunday Nov. 15 & 22. If you do not receive a pledge card (or forget) we will have extras available on those Sundays.

STEP Christmas Store

The store offers brand-new gifts to families in Gilpin Court and the surrounding areas at less than half of the purchase price. This model gives parents the dignity of providing Christmas gifts for their families at a price point they can afford. The store will be held on Saturday, December 5th. Gifts (unwrapped, with the purchase price marked on the item) are needed by Tuesday, December 1st.

Help Decorate Our Warmth Tree and Support Local Families

Help us spread warmth this November! We are collecting new socks, mittens, gloves, and winter hats to donate to local families in need through Commonwealth Catholic Charities. Items for all ages are needed and appreciated. To participate, please bring your donation to the "Warmth Tree" located in Common Grounds and use it to help decorate the branches! Donations must be received by November 30. Thank you for your generosity in sharing the warmth of our community.

Laughter therapy happens when those wonderful endorphins flow when you laugh! God revealed the truth that "Laughter is good medicine " in Proverbs 17:22 long before science announced this God given truth! The monthly meeting of Laughter and Lunch will meet as usual on the second Thursday, (November 12) at 11:30 at the home of Susan Herring . If you are interested in coming, call or text Susan at 804 514 1621 for details.

With fall approaching, all our friends in Southwest Virginia are going to need warm clothes and shoes. The clothing bin is outside the church office.

Also, our friends who need food from the food pantry are still in need. So, the next time you are in the grocery store, please pick up a few items for the pantry. This bin is in the foyer across from the office.
